Jalapeno Popper Baked Bites

A quick and easy appetizer that all of your party guests will love.

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

COOK TIME: 30 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 40 minutes

SERVINGS: 6 servings, 2 poppers each

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound Prepared Pizza Dough

4 Jalapenos

6 strips Bacon

1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese

3/4 cup Cream Cheese

1 medium Egg, beaten

DIRECTION:

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly butter a 8 inch round baking dish or cast iron skillet.

2. Cook the bacon strips in a frying pan, or under the grill until golden and crisp. Set aside to cool slightly, then chop into small pieces.

3. De-seed the jalapenos then chop finely.

4. Lightly flour your work surface then divide your pizza dough into 12 equal sized balls. Roll out each ball into a circle until approximately 1/8 inch thick. Divide the jalapenos, bacon and cheese into 12 equal portions and place in the middle of each dough circle. Wrap the dough around the filling, ensuring there are no gaps, then repeat with the remaining balls. Place, seam side down, in the prepared baking dish or skillet, brush with the beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
